We are delighted to announce the appointment of Scott Murray as our new Head of mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) projects.
Scott will lead our large team of mechanical and electrical engineers in the delivery of MEP projects ranging from £20,000 to more than £10m across the UK, Ireland and mainland Europe.
Joining us with over 20 years’ experience in the construction industry, Scott will help to concept, plan and deliver MEP projects. With global responsibility, his wealth of experience will be invaluable in providing specialist advice to our clients across a wide range of sectors and locations.
Commenting on the appointment, Ashley Winter, Director, said: “As our clients look to embed their Net Zero strategies and decarbonise their portfolios, they increasingly understand the importance of MEP specialists in making building services as sustainable as possible at all stages of the property lifecycle. Scott’s knowledge and experience will not only help our clients maximise the operational efficiency of their buildings but will also ensure they are optimised for human health, safety and comfort. We are delighted to welcome him to the team and wish him a long and successful career at Hollis.”
As part of his role, Scott will also be working closely with our established ESG consultancy and project management teams to further integrate forward thinking retrofit, environmental and social strategies into MEP projects.
Of his appointment, Scott says: “As an industry we are already seeing a big drive towards electrically driven energy strategies as we look to tackle the climate emergency. To support this, we will need to spend more time looking at how we maximise the operational efficiency of their building stock, both new and existing, to reduce energy consumption. Hollis has a reputation for challenging the ‘norm’ and I look forward to being part of that to help clients exceed standard practice guidance to address the need for more energy efficient buildings.
